Move Your Workloads to IONOS Cloud
AngryLynx provides end-to-end migration of applications, databases, data and infrastructure to IONOS Cloud from Microsoft ecosystem, AWS, private cloud and on-premises environments.
Migration is not always a simple infrastructure move. Existing applications may depend on cloud-specific services, legacy runtimes, databases, authentication systems, APIs, file systems, scheduled processes, or business logic that cannot be transferred directly to the target environment.
We therefore handle both the infrastructure migration and the application changes required to make workloads operate correctly on IONOS Cloud. This can range from a direct rehost to replatforming or deeper application transformation, depending on the existing architecture.
Our team takes responsibility from workload assessment and target architecture through application and data transformation, migration, testing, cutover, and post-migration stabilization, with the goal of keeping the transition controlled, predictable, and minimally disruptive to business operations.
What we migrate
1. Cloud & Infrastructure
Migration from Microsoft Azure, AWS, private cloud, VMware, and on-premises environments, including virtual machines, containers, Kubernetes workloads, storage, networking, and supporting infrastructure.
The target environment is designed around the workload rather than simply reproducing the existing infrastructure. Where appropriate, this includes infrastructure right-sizing, container deployment, network redesign, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, monitoring, backup, and high-availability configuration.
2. Databases & Data
Migration of MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, Microsoft SQL Server, and other relational databases, together with file and object storage.
Depending on the source and target architecture, the work can include schema and data-type adaptation, data mapping and transformation, ETL/ELT, transfer and synchronization, integrity validation, application connection changes, and controlled database cutover.
For systems that cannot tolerate extended downtime, migration and synchronization strategies are designed around the required availability and cutover window.
3. Applications & Business Logic
Migration of web applications, APIs, backend services, internal business systems, and custom software, including their dependencies, configurations, integrations, and business logic.
When the source application relies on services or components that are not directly available in the target environment, we adapt the application rather than treating migration as infrastructure transfer alone. This may include:
- replacing cloud-provider-specific services and SDKs;
- adapting business logic tied to the existing infrastructure or platform;
- modifying database access and persistence layers;
- adapting authentication, authorization, and identity integrations;
- updating APIs and integrations with external or internal systems;
- replacing storage, messaging, caching, scheduling, or background-processing components;
- changing configuration and secrets management;
- adapting deployment and runtime architecture;
- updating monitoring, logging, and operational integrations.
The objective is to preserve required business functionality while removing dependencies that prevent the application from operating effectively on IONOS Cloud.
4. Legacy Applications
When an application cannot be moved directly, we can adapt or modernize the software as part of the migration. This may include runtime and dependency upgrades, containerization, database changes, integration updates or deployment modernization.
